If you’re a passionate singer of an upcoming artist and want your voice to be audible from everyone, then this opportunity fits you. If you want to join the choir in West London to gain experience in the stage, this chance is really inevitable for you.
In St.Peter’s Church, every Monday West London Choir organizes rehearsals and the professional vocal coach and entertainer MJ Paranzino leads the choir and gives lessons to the participants. The choir sings every song from Mozart to ABBA, gospel to swing, musicals to new contemporary songs and more.
The choir members are a friendly, non-auditioning and embracing community for all people in Notting Hill. People of all singing abilities are welcome to join the choir, whether you’re a shower singer, have sung with choirs in the past, a professional or an upcoming singer.
They offer a variety of exciting performance opportunities, including their annual dinner party extravaganza, as well as concerts at major music venues and festivals across London and the Southeast.
Rehearsals perform every Monday evening from 7.15 – 9.15 pm at St.Peter’s Church, W11 2PN
So, How Was This Choir Formed?
Thanks to the efforts of the charity partner, Liberty Choir UK and the support of MJ Paranzino and her wife Ginny Dougary, this choir was launched on 1 April 2014 in HMP Wandsworth.
MJ believes that singing is a joyous and mutually uplifting experience for both audience and performer- and good for your health too.
The choir is all about performing – they sing in loads of amazing venues and have been asked to put on special events. They’ve done gigs at: Every year, they visit places like High-flyers Castle, Pylewell Park, The Royal Festival Hall, the Battersea Arts Centre and the V&A Museum.
Pop-up vocal explosions, for commercials and television shows are a plus opportunity. If you join one choir, you’re also in all of MJ’s choirs (Brighton City Singers, South London Choir, West London Choir.) That means you could be singing three times a week, like some of their members do.
When they’re at concerts and festivals, all the choirs get together with Liberty Choir UK to catch up with old friends and have a great time singing in a mass choir.
Who is MJ Paranzino?
MJ Paranzino is the real deal – a one-of-a-kind talent, a musical tour de force! MJ’s got a great voice and a wide range. He’s an amazing performer and professional vocal coach, session musician, successful composer/songwriter and inspired musical director.
In the last few years, MJ has written a stage musical, set up two successful choirs, organized concerts, and performed at the Royal Festival Hall and the Brighton Festival Fringe. He has also helped loads of other musicians and singers get the best out of themselves.
